Periodontitis is a condition which affects the gums and bone and roots of your teeth which if left alone will result in teeth being pulled out.
At Eternal Smiles Dental Centre, our dentist has treated many patients with gum disease (periodontal disease). It is a serious infection that affects the tissues that surround the teeth: the gums, but most importantly the bone that supports the teeth.
The good news is we can help you as we did with Jane.
We use lasers to help your gums improve. We have found this to reduce the time your gums take to heal. The bad bacteria are killed much faster when we use lasers for so many of our patients.
We will give back your confidence by saving your teeth. We offer this modern laser treatment – an effective alternative to the traditional method of surgically treating periodontal disease.
If periodontal disease is left untreated it may lead to your teeth being pulled out, because the teeth do not have enough bone support. To save your teeth you need to come and see us for treatment using lasers.
During moderate and severe gum disease (called moderate or severe periodontitis) the bacteria peals back the gum seal around the tooth. They start to attack the bone foundation and gum recession starts to occur. The reason for this is because the bone sets the tone for the soft gum tissue. Also, some teeth are more susceptible to gum disease and we will examine this for you.
The redness of the gums have disappeared after our treatment.
Redness, swelling and tendency of the gums for bleeding. However these symptoms are usually “covered”, in smokers due to the effect of smoking to the soft tissues.
Bad breath (breath malodor). One of the main complains of patients with periodontal disease is bad breath. People who believe that they have bad breath can adopt avoidance patterns and have psychological problems. Findings from many investigations documented that the majority of cases with malodor relate to the oral cavity.
One should ask for dental laser gums treatment if you have bleeding gums.
Receding Gums is due to bone loss, there is a retraction of the gums because they lose their support underneath from the bone. When the gums start to be infected by bad bacteria then the good bacteria have got no chance of winning, until you have our treatment.
“I am delighted with the treatment for my gum disease. The care I have received so far from Dr Singh was fantastic. He used lasers to get rid of my gum disease. My gums have feel tighter and better and do not bleed any more with the treatment.”

How Our Laser Treatment Will Save You Money in the Long Term
Our policy at Eternal Smiles Dental Centre is to save the teeth you have by treating the gums that have become infected and strengthening the bone tissue in the mouth.
If you have been diagnosed with periodontal disease and choose to leave your mouth untreated, losing your teeth will be very likely.
When this happens, replacing your natural teeth with implants and dentures will be substantially more expensive than embarking on this treatment whilst your teeth can still be saved.
There are now scientific innovations that effectively treat Periodontal Disease which we use in our practice.
Tooth mobility. There can be different reasons for tooth mobility. One of the most common reasons is periodontal disease. Obviously, since a large amount of the bone is destroyed, the support of the teeth is decreased. This is advanced gum disease.
Tooth migration. You may notice that there is an increasing gap between your front teeth and that your teeth have changed the position that they originally had. Tooth migration happens due to the large loss of the supporting tissues of the teeth.
Traditional gum surgery involves incisions and sutures, often leaving visible changes to your smile. Now, with laser technology, there is a minimally invasive option that leaves your gum tissue uncut and unscarred.
Laser periodontal therapy uses a small laser fibre, only as wide as three human hairs, to target bacteria and infected tissue, while not affecting healthy tissue. There is no bleeding or stitches because no incisions are made.
Step by Step Dental Laser Treatment Care.
“My teeth were in a bad state. I Came to Eternal Smiles and Dr Singh helped me with making my gums healthier. I am full of confidence now. He is caring and thorough with his care.”
